Not all Superheroes Wear capes

If you were living in a Fictional World as a Superhero, would you wear a Cape? And what Superpowers would you want to use?

Let’s focus on the first question; Would you wear a cape?

  • Does wearing a Cape emphasizes the Name of the Superhero?
  • Is the Cape a part of the Superhero Uniform?
  • Does the Cape represent “something” other than the Superhero’s emblem or icon?
  • Or is the Cape only for the flair and fashion?

Whatever the reason, we can say one of the many purposes of a Cape is standing out.

Standing out can be a Good thing. When Superheroes stick out from the crowd, their presence is reassuring; especially when there’s an implicated danger, chaos or hazard.

But Standing out can also become a drawback for Superheroes. Let’s say if there’s already an emergency, Superheroes may not have the time or opportunity to fight off the bad, because there could be too many people in the area.

Restrained or Rushed Superheroes can’t do anything marvelous.

So, what’s the point of this Story?

The topic we will tackle is the Importance of a Character (a Superhero) whether he or she is known or unknown.

The Superhero is US or YOU and the Cape acts as the Equipment or Tool we use to gather, meet and save people.

In our Society, the modern-day Superheroes in our age are the Elected Individuals, Business People and Entrepreneurs who are doing something for the greater good.

  • 1. Business people and Entrepreneurs who are philanthropic and not just serving themselves or their company but also serving the needy through Programs or Activities that contribute to positivity and betterment of the Society.
  • 2. Companies as a group such as ones on This List where they offer something of value to tackle a specific challenge or to solve Society-wide, industry-wide or worldwide problems.
  • 3. Non-Profit Organization and Volunteer Workers who are selfless and always present in their communities working to create better opportunities for the people around them.

We need more of these Superheroes. Supporting them is one of the best ways to accomplish the greater good. Although you may not think this makes you a superhero as well; think again. Robin was always right by Batman’s side to support him.

Here’s the thing; becoming involved with a Non-Profit Organization (NPO) or working as a Volunteer is not for everyone.

The first thing you would ask yourself might be “Is Non-Profit work or Volunteering right for me?” and/or “Will this contribute for my Career Growth?”

Before you ask that question, let’s look at the Main Sectors of Volunteer Work.

As you can see in the picture under “Main Sectors of Volunteer Work“, there are many Opportunities in the Volunteer sector.

When it comes to Volunteer Work, you have several options and each one of them differs from each other

The main similarity of these Sectors is you can Impact the lives of many people by Volunteering.

And not just only on People, you can impact the lives of Animals, Plants and the Earth itself.

There are many important benefits coming from Non-Profits. The direct effect of the works of a Non-Profit not only affects you and the Society around that organization but also the Economy of a Country.

Non-Profit is one of the main drivers of Economic Growth.

But like we said, this is not for everyone.

Working with Non-Profits and Volunteer opportunities offers you more than the traditional Career Growth. Of Course, there are Advantages and Disadvantages in working for a Non-Profit, but guess what? Every Industry has flaws.

Having a career in the Non-Profit sector offers you the opportunity to become more involved in Global Affairs, Cultural Understanding, Empathy and having a deeper understanding for the Human Nature of Society.

There are many ways you can use working in the Non-Profit sector to create a successful career path for yourself

And here’s an amazing Report from the Council of Non-Profits where they talk about the current state of the Non-Profit Industry and its importance for the Economy.

Okay, let’s give an example…

Let’s say you’re a Marketing Manager in a Corporate Environment, and you love to know the Human Behavior because understanding your Customers is crucial for the Company’s Growth. How can you get yourself to know your Prospects or Leads in a deeper way?

Learning to Understand and connecting with your Customers in a more detailed way is super-important for every company.

I mean, who doesn’t love a Loyal Customer? Studies show that gaining NEW Customers is more expensive than Loyal and Repeat Customers.

Now, do you see how powerful and valuable Volunteering can be, and the benefit it can bring to your Mind, Body, and Soul?

But if you’re serious in building your Career…Volunteering and Working in the Non-Profit sector has some amazing options for where it can take you in your professional journey.

Here’s a list of Career Paths and Job Titles you can choose for your Long-term Growth.
